A Cyclical Framework for Growth

The Seven Seasons of Becoming Human

Life moves in seasons, not straight lines.

In a world that demands linear progress and constant achievement, this framework offers a more compassionate, truthful, and embodied alternative. It honors the reality that human development is not a straight line, but a spiral—a continuous journey through distinct seasons we revisit throughout our lives.

The Seven Seasons of Becoming Human Framework

Why Cyclical, Not Linear?

Traditional models of growth suggest we move from point A to point B in a straight line. But that's not how life works. We don't "graduate" from challenges—we spiral through them at deeper levels, each time with more wisdom, more capacity, and more compassion.

Linear Thinking Says:

  • • You should always be moving forward
  • • Stillness means you're stuck
  • • Endings are failures
  • • You should know what's next

Cyclical Wisdom Says:

  • • Every season has its purpose
  • • Stillness is sacred integration
  • • Endings create space for new beginnings
  • • Not knowing is part of the path

The goal is not to rush through the challenging seasons or cling to the comfortable ones, but to learn how to be present, resourceful, and whole in every part of the cycle.
